I'm still really enjoying the show, but I must admit, the villain reveal was a little too obvious. I kinda knew it was him as soon as he quoted the code of the Sith.

Much better fight choreography to look forward to, but not much else.

Unsubscribed - I remain unconvinced and am dubious about this "review"

The battle in this episode reminded me a lot of the battle in the Darth Bane books (book 2, I think?) when him and his apprentice battle a bunch of jedi and slaughter them all. I'm really curious as to what Mae's motivations and plan is at this point because so far this series she's the only character who I don't understand at any level. I have a feeling that Qimir was subtly planting seeds of doubt in Osha towards the end of the episode. That and her returning of force senses from the previous episode makes me wonder if it will be Osha that actually becomes the acolyte.

I think Sol knows that it's Mae at the end, he never refers to her as Osha, and I reckon he's going to take her in and arrest her when the get back to Coruscant, unless she tries to kill him on the way there.

They said this fight scene was going to be better than duel of the fates. While it wasn’t better it was good. So we can officially say there’s something good in it aside from Sol

Watching this Episode. It finally hit me. Mae/osha are not the titular Acolyte. Its "The Master" (forgot character name) He's the Sith Acolyte. Which resolves the Plaguis problem. An Acolyte is not a Sith Lord. If the Sith were a 1% biker club The darth malus amd darth plagus would be full patch Acolyte would be a Prospect Mae would be a hang around. Like many others, I initially heard Sith, and went to Vader/Palaptine/Plaguis level Sith. Which there can be only 2. But theres no restrictions on assassins, acolyte, or dark force users

I'd give the show overall 8/10 this episode was a 10/10

The Duel of Fates was Qui Gon and Obi Wan vs Maul not Anikin vs Obi Wan. And yes it deserves the 13% on rotten tomatoes because the fans are not happy and do not like bad writers spitting in the face of established lore and nothing else has worked to get Disney's attention

Yes it does deserve a 13 % review I am sick at tired of the culture war u should blame them. Why can't they just make a show with good story why do they have to push some kind of woke idea it not for everyone personally iam sick and tired of it I deleted most of my social media so I don't have to see it as often

its called the Acolyte because -HE- is the acolyte. The guy slaughtering the Jedi. Her missing mom is the master. They were fighting the student not the lord. He is just Darth maul at this point.

Would it be possible for you to make a video on the plot of Jedi Knight: Jedi Outcast, Jedi Knight: Jedi Academy, Jedi Knight: Dark Forces 2 (the one with Jerec, i always forget its exact name). I believe it might help resolve some peoples' complaints about "broken lore" as I am confident, were these 3 classics presented by disney - people would be hating on them - yet as they are, they're cult classics. Arguably KOTOR 2 would also be worthy to discuss - particularly Meetra Surik and Traya explicitly. KOTOR 2 is a very on the nose parable about healthy and unhealthy ways to cope with trauma after all, where each character is in essence an exploration of stages of recovery or failed recovery/pitfalls.

I watched this entire episode. My faith in the Jedi is faltering. But I still believe in democracy and the Republic.

This was better than anything at all in the prequel trilogy.

I haven't been on the hate train for this show, I think its been alright. I still have some belief that Mae and Osha are going to be some kind of proto Anakin force baby, which is why the Sith have such an interest in them. My one hope (and it's a very strong one) is that Osha isnt actually Plagueis herself.

I was on the edge of my seat through the entire episode. 10/10❤

I feel the writing is lazy. We all knew the Slipknot guy was the “Sith” or whatever he thinks he is. The fight choreography better than Obi Wan show. It feels to much like a fan fiction thing to me.

This should have been 1 episode….

This seems like the same formula as Ashoka, 2 episodes at the start to hook us two more episodes of build up and a phenomenal ep 5

OT a Sssori would because of their size, make interesting vehicle crew - if the vehicle was customised to take advantage of their small size. A snubfighter built just for them would have better performance than one that had to fit a much larger standard humanoid pilot.

Episode 5 was the only good episode so far. The rest have been pretty trash

Great review, I really liked the episode and am still not convinced that Qimir is the Sith master. Which is terrifying. The addition of cortosis was awesome and really gave him an advantage. The jedi here were so ill-prepared for what they encountered.

Disney “knocked it out of the park with this episode” I’d give it maybe a 5-6 out of 10….sadly that is them killing it anymore…

Nice to see someone else who likes the show but also acknowledges that there’s some big issues

There was a comic book that had a lizard race using cortosis shields(Idk how the metal is spelled). But this story was probably set after the acolyte because Palpatine was the one to organize and militarize the race, he chose to do this because this lizard race was force immune. Idk what the title of the comic book is however.

I think you just made me want to watch this episode. The previous ones didn't make it 15mins into the viewing. As an old fart who was in the seat back when SW was born, I have been a little miffed about the Disney Era but your fandom of the universe has always made me smile and give this new SW universe a chance. Thanks man.

In anime there is the 3 episode rule. If after 3 episodes, it hasn't caught your interest, you can just drop it. Asking people to watch an entire season before passing judgement is both impractical and unfair. If by episode 5 you don't like it, forcing yourself to watch 7 more won't change your mind.

⚠️The whole facade of Dooku is that he was a political idealist and someone with the right idea or heart, but fell to the dark side and that he wasn’t truly evil. That guy was meant to be seen as this but in actuality was a psychopathic, brutal manipulator, who doesn’t mind killing people to get his way. He didn’t mind if Grevious committed a few crimes against sentient beings such as genocide or using biological warfare. He didn’t mind using force lighting to punish Savage Oppress, revealing his Sith eyes. He was more so disappointed in Anakin. “Is this truly the chosen one?” Dooku was cold and calculated. Actively prolonging the war as his master wished. He simply didn’t care for the members of the CIS. They were a means to an end. He has no problem killing Jedi or ordering the deaths of senators etc.⚠️

This is the first Star Wars property in a long time where I didn't know how it would turn out. Lies, cover-ups, main characters dying left and right, unreliable narrators, psychopaths. I'm really enjoying it warts and all.

Qimir to me doesn't actually seem all that powerful to me in this episode! Sol cleared him easily and even Jecki, a padawan, broke his stance, staggered him, and gained the upper hand when she switched into Jar'Kai!

" If he makes it back and tells Ki-Adi-Mundi... he's lying.. he's lying in the prequels'. Please let that happen. That would bring the biggest smile to my face☺☺
